President Putin approved master plan for APECIn December President Putin approved the master plan for the 2012 Asian Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) from Royal Haskoning and its subsidiary VHP.
It involves the urban development plans for Russky Island and the design of the conference building for the 2012 APEC. The team presented a plan for the upgrading of the roads and the airfield and for a 1.3 kilometre long bridge to the south of Vladivostok linking Russky Island to the mainland. President Putin has announced that the APEC will take place in Vladivostok in 2012. Heads of government from twenty-one countries and their trade delegations meet one another during this annual summit. This large-scale project offers the government the opportunity to drastically improve the infrastructure of Vladivostok. As a member of the international consortium with Perkins Eastman (US) and NGI (RUS), Royal Haskoning is hoping to start the project in early 2008. Contactpersoon: Alco Plas |
