Introducing ...Hans Joosten has been Director of Marketing & Communications for Royal Haskoning since 1 March 2008. This is the first time that this position has been filled at director level in Royal Haskoning. His most important objective is to use communication and marketing to give (even) more strategic direction to the company and to the Royal Haskoning brand. “We need to establish a clear vision for marketing at an overall strategic level. From there you can position Royal Haskoning in the market in an efficient and consistent manner,” says Hans.
Hans Joosten graduated as an industrial engineer from Eindhoven University of Technology. He then worked for both communications consultancies and major advertising companies. His career has spanned a broad range of activities in the fields of strategic marketing and communications. In addition to consumer communications, over the years Hans has also gained extensive experience in business-to-business communications and consultancy. Even though he will never forget his technical background, he admits that he is more of a marketer than an engineer. Though that keen interest in technical matters is of course very useful in the world in which Royal Haskoning operates. Besides being a passionate marketer, Hans is married and the father of two daughters aged ten and six. He’s excited about his first weeks working for Royal Haskoning. “In my short time here I've met many keen and enthusiastic professionals who are working on splendid projects all over the world. However, the knowledge and experience that have been accumulated in this organisation can (and must) be displayed even more clearly. We’re entitled to be even prouder of our achievements and to communicate it to the outside world! With our Marketing & Communications Department we’re going to give you a hand to do just that!”
