Introducing

Prior to the takeover by Royal Haskoning in 2005 Peter Luscuere was managing director of Technies Buro Van Heugten, a firm with its roots in the health care sector. He and Frank Sperling are now the management of the new division.

They soon agreed about how to divide the tasks. “Frank does the Management Council and I do the enjoyable things. Van Heugten wanted to be less dependent on the Dutch health care market. We’re now finding it easier to get our foot in the door in other countries thanks to Haskoning’s good networks. We are moreover a desirable partner in integrated projects because we combine our capabilities.” Peter Luscuere is also a professor of building services technology at Delft University of Technology and a guest professor at the University of Tianjin, the Chinese metropolis. Previously he worked for Philips’s architecture/engineering organization and for many years he was both a consultant to TNO (Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research) and a professor at Delft. Peter Luscuere is married and has four sons. He enjoys life to the full and likes wine, cigars, quality cars, and classical and modern music. “I get equal pleasure from a performance of La Traviata or a concert by Pink Floyd guitarist Roger Waters.” His second great passion is his BMW Z4 convertible. “As soon as it’s possible I drive with the roof down from where I live in Pijnacker to our office in Nijmegen,” says Peter. “It’s wonderful being able to sit behind the wheel in just your shirt when the temperature’s 18ºC!”
